14°C in Jan Question . What on earth's going on & who's complaining?

2005 is shaping up pretty well so far - 2 outings in 7 days, & never used anything larger than 4.7m.

Today was F4-F7 - incredibly gusty SW. There was a zero wind band from the shore to about 100m out, after that, it just got increasingly stupid.

Some interesting jumps shocked going out, & some nicely shaped waves coming in - with just enough S in the wind to go frontside.

It was hard work, but someone had to do it :-))

Brian Derrick was there as were about 7 or 8 other sailors - including Nigel Walker.

Only casualty of the day was my downhaul - broke whilst rigging up. Even my stupidly sore tennis elbow actually feels easier after today's session. :-0
